A common barrier to help is often lack of ways to verify the legitimacy of organizations.

I have worked in some capacity with the following organizations and have a positive opinion of the effectiveness and proper allocation of donations of the following:

They are constantly looking for help in different ways. Any contribution, however big or small, of any form, is always appreciated. If you are interested in being involved in any capacity and want to hear more, please check out their websites or get in touch with me, and I will put you in contact with the right people.

I am also the outreach secretary of the Women in Network Science scientific committee. I host a fun women in science podcast, check it out!

"I believe strongly in contributing to equal opportunity and equal access for all.  Attempting to integrate with different societies has instilled in me a deep appreciation for various cultures, and an awareness of their challenges and systemic biases against groups of people...biases that are often imperceptible, and typically tackled relatively late, leading to unequal outcomes and propagation of biases. I have lived, volunteered, and taught in several communities - from teaching children in Teach for India, to living with the Maasai tribe in Kenya. It is heartening to find that despite differences, people around the world are more or less the same. It is unfair then, that some are born into poverty and struggle to eat two meals a day, let alone have a chance to pursue those dreams. I think it our obligation as a society to investigate and implement effective solutions to inequality where we can."
